Overview
Srinidhi Shetty is an Indian model, television turned film actress, who is widely, well known for her work in K.G.F Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. She became Miss Supranational India, and later represented India at Miss Supranational 2016, which she eventually went to win.
Early Life & Family
Srinidhi Shetty was born to Ramesh Shetty and Late Kushala Shetty on 21st of October 1992, in Mangalore, Karnataka. She hails from a Tuluva Bunt family, that speaks the language, Tulu. Bunt is an Indian community, which is well known in the state for belonging to the coastal areas of Karnataka.
Growing up, Srinidhi wanted to be a doctor, and aspired to be one. She used to participate actively in a lot of cultural activities and sports, like dancing, singing, swimming, volleyball, throw ball and many more. From the very young age, that she was participating in multiple activities, she got interested in modelling, and eventually acting as well.
She did her schooling from Sri Narayana Guru English Medium School. She did her pre-university course at St. Aloysius Pre University College, after which she pursued her Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Jain University in Bangalore. She has always been a studious student, as she scored a 93.5% in her 10th, and then 85% during her Engineering degree.
It became a very difficult and a rough period for Srinidhi when during her 10th grade, her mother passed away due to illness.
However, she fought with the hurdles, and worked hard enough to land where she stands today.
Srinidhi began her career as a software engineer at ‘Accenture’ at Bangalore.
She was taking modelling assignments and was preparing for Miss Diva auditions 2015, but she fractured her toe and was advised to take rest for 3 months. However, she rose again as she participated in Miss Supranational India as she won it, and then she went on to become Miss Supranational 2016. She was the second person, after Asha Bhatt to win the title. It was then, that her popularity began to rise, and she started getting fame across places.
Relationship
At the moment, Srinidhi is not known to have been in a relationship. There hasn’t been any such information in the media regarding her relationship and dating life.
Professional Career: Popular Movies/TV Series (If any)
From the very beginning of her professional career, Srinidhi has been actively participating in modelling, as she has auditioned, and in fact won many competitions. In the year 2012, she competed in the Clean & Clear sponsored Fresh Face Contest, where she was named among the top five persons in the competition. Later, in the year 2015, she participated for Manappuram Miss South India in 2015, which she eventually won, along with the titles, of Miss Karnataka, and Miss Beautiful Smile.
While being employed for ‘Accenture’ in Bangalore, she has also worked as a model for them. She later participated in Manappuram Miss Queen of India, where she won the title of the first runner up and was named as Miss Congeniality.
As her experience grew, so did her skills, and she kept on participating in events as such. In the year 2016, she participated in Miss Diva Pageant, where she was among the top finalists, and as she later participated in Miss Supranational 2016, which she won, and eventually the title Miss Supranational 2016, where she represented India. As her reign as Miss Supranational 2016, she got to travel across many places, some of which are like, UAE, Japan, Slovakia, Singapore, Poland, and many more.
As she began modelling, and on winning multiple fashion shows, she was starting to get more and more numbers of offers for films. And her first break, biggest in the life, she got the film K.G.F chapter 1, which was the highest budgeted film in Kannada. And as of now, she’ll be scene in the second sequel as well.
Soon in the year 2020, She’ll be coming to theaters along with Vikram, in the film ‘Cobra’.
Controversies/Affairs/Why in News?
Srinidhi Shetty has led a hard worked, self earned, and simple career to where she stands today. And thus, she has managed to stay away from any kind of controversy in her career as of now. However, she was in talks, for rejecting seven films before K.G.F, as she was waiting for a good script to reach to her.
She played the role of Reena Desai, for which she was praised for her performance. Directed by Prashanth Neel, it was the highest budgeted film ever made in the language of Kannada. Recently, she will be seen alongside Vikram in 2020, in their film ‘Cobra’, as people already look excited of this.
