Born on 21 September 1980, Kareena Kapoor Khan is an Indian actress and, is recognized for her contributions to the film industry through her fashion style and film roles. She debut her acting career in the 2000 war film ”Refugeel”, She established herself in Hindi cinema with roles in historical drama “Asoka” (2001), and the blockbuster movie “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..(2001). After dating each other for 5 years, Kareena and Saif got married on October 16, 2012. Kareena is the second wife of Saif, as he was earlier married to Amrita singh with whom he has two children – Sara Ali Khan ansd Ibrahim Khan.
Four years after their marriage, Saif and Kareena became parents to their little, Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016. In addition to film acting, Kareena participates in stage shows, hosts a radio show and has contributed as a co-writer to three books. She has started her own line of clothing and cosmetics for women, and has worked with UNICEF since 2014 to advocate for education of girls and an increase in equality based education in India. In 2010, she adopted Madhya Pradesh’s Chanderi village to provide it with electricity.
Early Life & Family
Kareena was very naughty and spoilt child, she was interested in acting career since childhood. Her father, however, did not want his daughters to enter films. His conservative attitude led to a conflict between her parents and they separated. Kareena and her sister went to live with their mother who worked several jobs in order to support the family. Eventually karishma became an actress in 1991.
After living separately for several years, her parents reconciled in October 2007. She studied in Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu, Bombay, and thereafter was moved in DehraDun’s prestigious Welham Girls’ Boarding School.Then she went to Harvard for approximately 3 months to take a course in information technology and microcomputers. when she return to India, she joined the Government Law College in Churchgate, Bombay, but left it after one year, to enroll in the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School.
Kareena is the daughter of actors Randhir kapoor and Babita, and the younger sister of actress Karisma Kapoor. She is the paternal granddaughter of Bollywood legend Raj Kapoor and maternal granddaughter of famous actor Hari Shivdasani. She is also the niece of actor Rishi Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan is her husband and she has a son Taimur Ali khan. And, One of the popular Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is her cousin.
Relationships
She was rumoured about dating Hritik Roshan. Both came close towards each other on the sets of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ in the year 2001. They did many films together like ‘ Yaadein’, ‘Mujhse Dosti karoge’. It was written on that time that Kareena was in love with Hritik as both were seen spending quality time with each other and both had good chemistry on the sets. Later, she came close with Shahid Kapoor during the shooting of ‘Fida’ in 2004. They did many films together. She even turned vegetarian for him. But, this also would not last for long time because of her closeness with Saif Ali Khan and when Shahid knew about this, he broke up.
Finally, at last after splitting from Shahid, she fell in love with Saif Ali Khan. They came close during the shooting of Yash Raj’s film ‘Tashan’. During shooting of that movie, they were spotted at various restaurants of Leh. After dating for 5 years, she married him in 2012 and 4 years later she had a baby whom they named ‘Taimur Ali Khan’ who has become an internet sensation.
