Brie Larson is an American Actress and also a filmmaker. She is best known for her comedies when she was a teenager. Larson won many big awards such as Academy Award and a Golden Globe also she was named as one among 100 most influential people in the world in 2019. She is educated from American Conservatory Theater. She was the youngest student in that school who took admission.
She was just six when she was admitted there. Her acting career began in 1998 with her comedy sketch in ‘the tonight show with Jay Leno’. She also released her first music video ‘finally Out of P.E.’ in 2005. Along with the inclusion of comedy, music and films in her acting career she also directed films. She directed the movie’The Arm’ in 2012. She comes from a non-filmy background and at the age of six she decided that she wants to be an actor and her mother thought that she is just a kid who repeats a things which they see on TV. But she always had creative arts in her which took her at this level.

Brie Larson is her professional name According to her she said that she was “straight -laced and square” but was shy and also suffered from social anxiety. Brie Larson shared a very close bond with her mother. Larson was mostly educated from home but when she believed that she need to explore by going out. As her father was a French Canadian and that is why Larson spoke French since her childhood.When she was seven she gone through a trauma because her parents got divorced. They had a small house because their financial condition was weak and she lived with her father after divorce.
She performed a commercial parody for Barbie which was ‘Malibu Mudslide Barbie’ in 1998. She had faced many circumstances before being an actor. In childhood she used to create her own stories and movies and cast her cousins to perform it this proves that she was an artist and was very creative which helped her in leveling up her career. When she decide to be an actor at six, she also took admission in the ‘American Conservatory Theater’ in San Francisco. She was the youngest student there.

Brie Larson has a personality of an introvert somewhere and also has an private life which she wants to keep it private only. Few times she has kept her private life out and because of this we come to know about her relationship status. She was once got engaged to Alex Greenwald, who is a lead singer of the band Phantom Planet . In 2019, they both decided to end their engagement. Whether they have broken it or not and what was reason was not clearly known till now.
But it was seen that they have broken the engagement but they are still close to each other as friends. She had a relationship with Greenwald in 2013. Few years later, a ring was seen in her finger in 2016. That is why people guessed that they were engaged and to clear their doubts she announced that they got engaged on ‘Saturday Night Live’ show.
Soon people got to know that they were living together in Hollywood Hills. When she was in relationship with him , in an award function she spoke openly about how Greenwald supported her to take risks in her career, she said that “I don’t think I could do any of this without my person. I can go out in the world and I can take risks and I can push myself to the limit , and then there’s that core that knows me and no matter how far I go, I’m still the same when I come back. That’s a really valuable thing”.

Brie Larson first debuted in sketches performed at ‘the tonight show with Jay Leno’. She later worked in ‘the raising dad’. Brie Larson did many of the comedy and action movies and mostly her comedy movies were popular because it was the best genre in which she shown her best creativity. Her major character was as Emily in the ‘raising dad’ which was aired for one season. At the age of 11, Larson developed her interest in music and she learned to play guitar. Soon she started writing her own songs and uploaded tracks on her own website.
While working in her films she spared some time to release her first music video in which she herself wrote the song. But it failed and Larson admitted that she failed in music career and said that “I wanted to write all my own songs, and were afraid of that. I wanted to wear sneakers and play my guitar- they wanted heels and wind blown hair”. She faced a phase where she was not offered many films at that period she said that she felt to give up on her acting career and she put the blame on filmmakers that they don’t typecast her. She was disappointed when she lost the lead role in ‘Thirteen'(2003) and ‘Juno'(2007).
Controversies/Affairs
There was a controversy about Larson as an actor. It was seen that in such buzzed movie ‘captain marvel’, people were not at all excited about her performance in the film. People called her emotionless and stoic and were totally seemed to be unimpressed with her performance. Somehow people tried o attack the box office collection with their negative comments on the film and on her acting skills.
Another controversy was that, that she used the promotional platform for most to spread the awareness on how male are influencing hovering over Hollywood. It was not that big issue to use the film promotion for spreading the awareness but she did it more and promoted the film less. Also the way she stated that “I do not need a 40 year old white dude to tell me what didn’t work for him about ‘a wrinkle in time” was the issue too. Although she took her words back but it seems like it didn’t changed the words she said at that time.
Larson’s acting was questionable. For her film’room’ she won the Academy award but she failed to act convincingly in the ‘captain marvel’ film. Many people had their own opinion about her acting and many argued that she was not right option for the part.
