Overview

Brittany Robertson, or popularly known as Britt, is an american actress, most widely known for her work in Tomorrow-land, which starred George Clooney in 2015, The space between Us (2017), and A Dog’s Purpose (2017). Over the years, and with her experience, she has made herself a good name in the Hollywood Industry.

Early Life & Family

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Britt comes as the oldest of seven brothers and sisters she has. She was born to Beverly Robertson and Ryan Robertson. Her mother was a house-maker while her father, a restaurant owner. Her mother and her stepfather have three children while her father and her stepmother have also three children. Her early childhood was brought up in South Carolina, in the area of Green vile.

As a teenager, Robertson somehow discovered her interest for acting, and films, and it was when she was 14 years old when she moved from North Carolina to Los Angeles to audition for televisions, and films. She has been very close with her grandmother, Shuler.

She said in an interview once that during her shoots, her grandmother would sit during the shoot and during down time, both of them would knit together. However, after two years, her grandmother returned back to North Carolina, when Robertson was sixteen and she’s been living alone since.

Relationship

Britt Robertson has dated the ‘Struck By Lightning’ star, Graham Rogers,and Gregg Sulk in in 2010 and she had a brief relationship with the ‘Maze-runner’ star Dylan O Brien from 2011 until 2018, when they broke up.
Now, she is been reportedly rumored to have been in a relationship with the New Zealand’s River-dale star, K J Apa.

Popular Movies/TV Series

Robertson’s career initiated when she was performing for The Green vile Little Theater. It was during that period when she discovered her interest.She said in an interview once that she was 11, and was watching soap operas on the TV. That was the moment when it her, and she told her mother that she wanted to be an actor.

“I was 11 and watching soap operas with my mom and I thought it would be cool to be an actor. I thought soap operas was going to be the dream at the time — it’s obviously now not the dream, but I think soap operas are really cool. Maybe I’ll go back to that.”

From then she went on to audition for multiple shows and films, where today, she had been a part of various big named series and films in the industry. She was 12 when used to make these extended trips to Los Angeles and eventually she landed with a show which was never launched.

Following that year she was cast with a small role in the ‘Power Rangers Time Force’, and soon she was nominated with a young artist award, for best performance in a TV movie, miniseries or special leading young actress for her performance in ‘The Ghost Club’ in 2003. Her first big break came when she was cased in the TV movie, Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers’,  in the role of Michelle Seaver. She has also acted in the long running show, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ in its episode ‘Go to Hell’, and also had a recurring role in ‘Swing-town’, a television series by CBS.

In 2008, she was seen in ‘The Tenth Circle’, an original by Lifetime, an American Pay Television Channel. This was based on a novel by Jodi Picoult, which shared the same name. In further years, she appeared in ‘Mother and Child’, and ‘Avalon High’. Robertson has done a lot of television series in her career, with many recurring roles, and some of them are ‘Law and order: Special Victims’, The CW’s series ‘Life Unexpected’. She was starred for the role of Lux Cassidy, who while in the process of being emancipated, gets back into her birth parents’ lives. And in 2013, she was involved in the cast of ‘Under the Dome’, with the role of Angie. It was a science fiction and mystery television series, which she played until 2014.

This was a period where her career began to take lift, and she was starting to get films. And soon she did, ‘Delivery Man’ (2013), ‘Ask me anything’ (2014). In 2015, she starred in ‘The Longest ride’, and ‘Tomorrow-land’, where she was cast with George Clooney. Her popularity rose after this, and she was nominated for Teen choice award for choice movie actress – Drama for ‘The Longest Ride’, and Teen choice award for choice movie actress- sci-fi/fantasy for ‘Tomorrow-land’. Later she was seen in ‘Mr Church’, ‘Mother’s Day’, and in the 2017 science fiction romance, ‘The Space Between Us’, and ‘A Dog’s Purpose’. And soon she had made news with her arrival into Netflix’s ‘Girl-boss’, and then ABC’s drama ‘For the People’.

Controversies/Affairs

Britt has remained as away as possible from controversies in her career. But it was during her break up with her six year long boyfriend Dylan O’ Brien that fans became curious of the situation, and eager to know what’s happening.
It was also talked a lot when she abandoned the quirky 70’s Netflix series ‘Girl-boss’, and she forwarded with ABC’s legal series ‘For the People’.
