Anne Hathaway is an actor by profession. Hathaway is an American actress who was listed in one of the highest paid actress in 2015. It is proved that her films earned over $6 billion worldwide. She was appeared in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2009. Hathaway started acting in her school where she used to act in various play. In her teenage she was casted for a television series ‘Get Real’ in 1999.

She debuted with her first comedy film ‘The Princess Diary’ in 2001.  Anne is also the one who supports several charities and causes plus she is a board member of the Lollipop Theater Network . This is a organisation who brings films to sick children in hospital. She is a UN women goodwill ambassador. Hathaway was also included in the list of Breakthrough Stars of 2001 by People Magazine. Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born on 12 November 1982, in Brooklyn , New York , United States. Anne’s father , Gerald is an labor attorney and her mother is an actress. Her name was also named after Shakespeare’s wife. Hathaway is the second child with one younger and one older brother. Her mother performed in the film,’Les Miserable’  as Fantine and that was the moment where Anne became fascinated with the stage and grew interest in acting. Her mother, Kate quit acting to raise her children.

According to Anne, she was raised in a family with ‘really strong values’. In childhood, she thought of becoming a nun but later she kept acting on the top of her priority list. The family later got to know that Michael, her brother is an gay. Anne participated in many of the plays and also in soccer in her high school. In her teens, she struggled with anxiety and depression and she once said to her mom that “Do you remember that girl?

She has now gone, gone to sleep. She has said her piece and is gone.” She once revealed that when she was young she loved the challenge ‘you can’t do that because you are a girl’. On their first date he got an hour late and that thing turned her down. But to apologize he sent her dozen of roses and then she forgave her.

According to Hathaway it was a love at first sight. They had successful four years of relationship and then he got arrested because of wire fraud. She also dated her co-star Hugh Dancy for two years. But they broke up because she wasn’t ready to have a serious relationship as she was focused on her career at the beginning. Anne dated Scott Satiano, James Holzier and Topher Grace for a year. Later she dated Adam Shulman who is an actor and an businessman. The reason they are together is that they both love and enjoy a low-key lifestyle.

Anne Hathaway had been in few controversies. She was caught up in the issues because of her casting in few films and it is said that just because she is an talented actor the audience is tolerating her but finally she got a title of the most annoying actress in 2013.

She also had to loss weight for her film but she played fragile in it and she also said that her director didn’t like it much. The director felt that she took it too far and she confessed that he understood what I was doing and why I was doing it. Another instance was when she cut her hair to short.

It seemed like not all liked her new look. There are many actresses who has short hairs but people quite disliked her short hair look on her. Another issue was about changing dress in a last minute in an award function. She did so because Amanda Seyfried wore a very similar dress. People criticized her by saying if she learned nothing from Taylor Swift.
