Overview
Surbhi Chandna is an Indian television actress, known popularly for her work in Sanjivani, Qubool Hai, and Ishqbaaz. She played the role of Annika Trivedi in Ishqbaaz, along with Nakuul Mehta, with whom she was known for the chemistry and their duo.
Early Life & Family
Surbhi Chandna was born into a Punjabi family, in Delhi. Born to C.P Chandna (Father), and Sashi Chandna (Mother), she has an elder sister as well, Pranavi Chandna. Soon after she was born, the family shifted to Mumbai. For the hard work and a position on which she is today, Chandna has done a great deal of hard work. She did her schooling from Maharashtra itself, in Mumbai. And her graduation, as she pursued Masters of Business Administration, from Atharva Institute of Management Studies.
Relationship
Surbhi went on to Instagram at one of her friend’s wedding and subtly hinted that she is single at the moment, and not dating anyone. However, she was also rumored to be dating one of her close friends, Karan Sharma, who works in a corporate office.
Popular Movies/TV Series/Big boss
Surbhi, like most and many of the novice actors coming to the industry, has started her career with ad shoots and commercials. She had no acting background, neither was properly trained for it. She started taking small roles in TV series. We see her for the first time on TV in Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, where she played a saleswoman, who turned out to be a con artist. Following this, she did more cameos in the television till 2013, when she was seen in Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi as playing the role of Suzanne. She was also seen as Sia in the Sony TV’s ‘Aahat’ in 2015.
As she started getting offers and her popularity and recognition rose, she was seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai, where she played a deaf woman, Haya. And soon she made her Bollywood debut with the film Bobby Jasoos.
Her popularity began to rise, as her followers grew. In the year 2016, she starred in the show Ishqbaaz, opposite Nakuul Mehta. She played the character of Annika Trivedi. Their chemistry clicked, and both were appreciated for the duo, Nakkul and Surbhi, as they won several awards together for their ‘Jodi’, including Indian Television Academy Awards, Asian Viewers Television Awards, Lions Gold Awards, and Gold Awards.
And soon in 2017, she appeared in the spin off of Ishqbaaz, ‘Dil Boley Oberoi’.
From 2019 to 2020, Surbhi appeared as Dr. Ishani Arora in the second season of the 2005 show, ‘Sanjivani’ opposite Namit Khanna. It starred Monish Bahl, Rupali Ganguly and more.
Controversies/Affairs
Surbhi has stayed away from any kind of controversy so far, and never been in any.
