Janhvi Kapoor was born on 7 March 1997 in Mumbai , Maharashtra, India. she is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. Her mother named her ‘Janhvi’ after the name of the character of Urmila Matondkar in the film ‘Judaai’. Apparently, Sridevi was pregnant with Janhvi during the Shooting of the film and had a great bond with Urmila Matondkar.
Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut in 2018 opposite Ishaan Khatter in ‘Dhadak’, which was the Hindi remake of Marathi super hit film ‘Sairat’. The actual spelling of her name is ‘Janhvi,’ but since the name ‘Jhanvi’ trended first, it spread over the internet. Her mother wanted to see her daughter on the silver screen, but it did not happen. On 24 February 2018, Sridevi was found dead in her guest room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, in Dubai. According to forensic reports, she died of ”accidental drowning”.

Janhvi Kapoor was born in a Hindu Punjabi Khatri family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to the actress Sredevi and the film producer Boney Kapoor. She has one young sister Khushi Kapoor, she is also famous on social media platform for her bold pictures. Her father was already married to Mona Shourie Kapoor. Actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor are Janhvi’s half siblings. Actress Sonam Kapoor is her cousin and Anil Kapoor is uncle. Her mother was never happy with Janhvi’s decision to join Bollywood, instead, she dream to see her as a Doctor and settle down.
Janhvi has completed her schooling from Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. Before making her film debut, she took an acting course from Lee Starsberg Theatre and Film Institute in California. Janhvi declined a role opposite Mahesh Babu that was offered to her for her debut. According to reports the reason behind denying that role was age gap between Jhanvi and Mahesh Babu.
